Students are out of shelter. We are loading buses now, and they should be leaving Glenwood within the next 5-7 minutes.
Students are now heading back to their classrooms to get ready for dismissal. Parent pickup will begin immediately. Bus riders will be delayed since we are waiting on the high school dismissal. Bus riders will be delayed by approximately 30 minutes later than normal. I will send a follow-up message when buses are leaving Glenwood. Thank you.
We have moved all students to our FEMA tornado shelter. Students will remain in the shelter until the tornado warning has been lifted.

There will be a hot meal provided at Glenwood tonight for the Glenwood community beginning at 5:30PM. Come hungry! The meal includes Beans & Cornbread, Ham, BBQ Meatballs, Green Beans, Rolls, Tea, Lemonade, and Cake! Even if you cannot stay to eat, there will be to-go boxes! Please share this information with others in the community who may not receive this message.
There will be NO SCHOOL tomorrow, Tuesday, March 18 at Glenwood. The school remains without power at this time. Staff members will be riding bus routes tomorrow morning to distribute snacks and other necessities to some of our Glenwood students and families. For each day this week that Glenwood needs to cancel classes, we will still provide transportation for our high school students from Glenwood to the high school in the morning and from the high school back to Glenwood in the afternoon. If your child needs transportation to the high school, please have them at Glenwood by no later than 7:40AM. In the afternoon, the high school students will need to be picked up from Glenwood by no later than 3:55PM. Thank you!
There will be NO SCHOOL at Glenwood on Monday, March 17, due to storm damage and no electricity. Our hearts go out to all of our Glenwood community affected by the storm. We have had several individuals and groups donate items for any of our community members in need. The school will be open tomorrow between the hours of 8:00AM-3:00PM for anyone needing the items that have been donated. The items include vitamin water, hygiene products, snack items, and more! Reminder: Spring Picture Day is tomorrow, March 7th, at Glenwood! Forms were sent home with students yesterday. Individual student pictures, class pictures, volleyball pictures, and peewee basketball (boys and girls) pictures will all be taken. Here are some schedule updates for this week! There will be volleyball games at Glenwood VS Thayer on Tuesday, February 25, beginning at 5:00PM. The volleyball games with Richards has been rescheduled for Thursday, February 27, beginning at 4:45PM. There will also be volleyball games on Friday, February 28, at Junction Hill beginning at 4:45PM. The high school fair for Glenwood 8th grade students at Howell Valley has been rescheduled for Wednesday, February 26th. 8th Grade students will visit with area high schools during the school day, and parents can drop in to visit with area high school representatives between 4:00-4:30PM. This will be held in the Howell Valley gymnasium. Thank you!
